Staff Spotlight: Kencor Employees Complete CET Education and Certification Program in 2020
This year Kencor has attempted to recognize our employees for their special achievements in education and professionalism. Created by the National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC), CET Certification was developed “to provide the elevator industry with a means of obtaining and verifying knowledge and experience requirements related to compliance with industry codes, elevator and escalator specific technical theory, components, and competencies.” This comprehensive educational program requires substantial fieldwork training, representing an estimated 8,000+ hours on-the-job. Students complement on-site skills development with curriculum broadening their knowledge of elevators, escalators, lifts, applications, safety standards, and much more. CET certification students must also pass an examination of their accumulated knowledge and skill.
“I am so incredibly proud of each of these individuals for living our Mission and Core Values,” said President and COO John Dodds, remarking on the incredible achievement and investment in themselves. “At our organization we encourage everyone to regularly reevaluate every aspect of their job to find ways to improve. We don’t want them to be satisfied with the status quo and we expect them to keep improving,” Dodds said.
In keeping with the mission of Kencor Elevator Systems to promote the safe and efficient operation of vertical transportation systems through the professional and timely delivery of construction, maintenance and repair services by an educated and experienced workforce we recognize the following individuals for completing the CET Educational and Certification Program in 2020:
