John Dodds Elected to the NAEC Board of Directors

john-doddsKencor, Inc. Elevator Systems is celebrating the achievements and honoring one of their own, John Dodds, who was elected to the NAEC Board of Directors on September 20, 2016 at the fall convention in Montreal. John will serve a 3-year term on the board for the industry as a Director.

John Dodds, Chief Operating Officer of Kencor, Inc. Elevator Systems, has over 18 years of elevator industry experience.  He started his career as a mechanic’s helper in 1998 working his way through many different field and management roles before landing the position of C.O.O.  Dodds holds several industry certifications including CET, CETS, QEI and several state elevator mechanic licenses.  Dodds has served as the Chairman on the NAEC Certification Board for the last 3 years.

Kencor’s President and CEO Rick Kennedy also served on the NAEC Board of Directors that culminated with his rick-kennedyPresidency during his 3-year term. Rick was able to induct John for his term on the NAEC Board of Directors. This position will allow Kencor to further foster close relationships with their fellow members in the elevator industry and promote trade between suppliers, contractors and customers.

According to NAEC.org, NAEC is “an association of elevator businesses serving primarily the interests of independent elevator contractors and suppliers of products and services and promoting safe and reliable elevator, escalator and short-range transportation and promoting excellence in the management of member companies.”

NAEC has annual conventions and educational conferences, monthly newsletters, and an extensive web presence with numerous resources. Today, in its 67th year, NAEC’s membership totals 705 as of 7/15/2016.
